Ben Schulte is a Founding Partner of Third Space Capital with over 15 years’ experience providing private capital solutions and strategic advice to companies across the size spectrum.

He most recently served as an Executive Director at HPS Investment Partners, which he joined in 2019. At HPS, Ben was part of the Strategic Investment Partners team, one of the largest junior capital funds globally, where he led investment execution, portfolio management, and value creation activities.

Prior to HPS, he worked with Matt at Guggenheim Partners where he sourced, underwrote, and executed junior capital investments in family and founder-owned middle market businesses. Ben has previously held investing roles at Falcon Investment Advisors and Adams Street Partners and began his career in Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the M&A group.

Ben is from Cincinnati, Ohio and now lives in New York City with his wife Melody, young son, and dog PJ. One of Ben’s passions is running, where he has completed a marathon race on 5 of the 7 continents across the globe.

Ben received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business with Honors from Indiana University Bloomington and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
